Music in Motion is designed to help young children (ages 2-6) appreciate music, while enhancing their language development, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It teaches students to watch a conductor, and it keeps them busy, active and out of trouble for 45 minutes. Following the music portion, we will have drinks, snacks and coloring sheets for your kids for additional 30 minutes & just hang out.
Join us this year on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 AM-11:00 AM (doors open at 9 and music starts at 9:30 AM) at Ivanrest Church in the West Wing. Our tentative schedule is September 19-December 12, 2016 (no class on November 7th (voting in our building) and November 21 (Thanksgiving week) and start up again in January. If Grandville Public Schools has a delay or no school, Music in Motion will not be held.
It is important for moms (grandmas/dads/caregivers) to be in this class with your child(ren). You can help your child remember the concepts later, and even sing some of the songs with them during the week!
If you have younger children, you are welcome to bring them along to sit on your lap.
If you are planning to join us this year, please fill out our Music in Motion Registration Form.
