As we seek to be disciples at Ivanrest, we strive to live the kind of lives Jesus has called us to, acknowledging that he has shown us the true and best way to live. Our desire is to grow God’s kingdom through actively seeking to grow in our understanding of God’s truth and in our relationship with him. We then share our experience in witness to the community around us, proclaiming Jesus’ truth and its ability to truly set us free.
No matter where God is calling you in your discipleship walk, when you follow his lead you will find the life that he promised. When you discover God’s truth, and live it out each and every day, God promises that you will find a fullness of life beyond what you could have imagined.

Table Groups
Intentionally Growing by Doing Life Together
A Table Group at Ivanrest Church is a small group with a mix of individuals, couples and families. These groups are designed to meet regularly to build deep spiritual relationships with each other. It is a place where we can mature together in our faith. Learn more and sign up to be part of a Table Group on our Table Groups page.

Prayer Team
Ephesians 6:18: “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
We believe prayer makes a difference. The Ivanrest Church Prayer Team partners with God through His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to pray with purpose, passion and consistency. Whether you have a prayer petition or praise, they would be honored to pray for you! Use this form (select prayer from the drop down menu) to submit your praise or petition, email prayer@ivanrestcrc.org or leave a voicemail at 616-410-7070. You are encouraged to be specific! And don’t forget to let the team know if you see prayers being answered and/or need to revise your original request. All submissions are confidential.

Sunday Nights
Sunday Nights is an additional time of worship and fellowship on Sunday evenings. Some elements of this time together will look similar to our traditional evening worship service at Ivanrest. For instance, as part of it, we’ll spend time together in song and communal prayer, just as we have historically. But other parts will look a bit different. Specifically, instead of a traditional sermon, we will instead take a closer look at the same text as the morning service. This will allow congregants the opportunity to ask Pastor Brandon questions about the text, as well as the ability for Pastor Brandon to go deeper into his commentary work and study of the passage, including elements he couldn’t include in the morning message. We’re excited about this new format and hopeful that it might lead to a greater desire in our congregation to engage in a second Sunday worship time.
Race Awareness Team
At Ivanrest, we believe in providing awareness and education about the diversity in our surrounding community in order to share God’s love and the value the gifts of our fellow image bearers in Christ.
We meet to listen and learn through book readings, podcasts, movies, and webinars. Contact Deann Wright for more information.

Koinonia
Koinonia is a single parent ministry where building relationships is intentional and sharing life is important.
Following a delicious meal, the moms spend time in a small group book study while also encouraging one another in the struggles and joys they have in parenting. The kids and their individually chosen mentors work on homework, create projects/crafts, or participate in fun activities with other kids and mentors.
Women’s Bible Study
Women of all ages are invited to grow in their faith and build community with others through various Bible study opportunities.
Revelation: Revelation is a revealing—and here in the letters to the churches we see Jesus in his glory, Jesus among his churches. As he stands with his church, he speaks words of commendation and correction. We see the revelation of God’s heart for his church. What will he say to these churches? To us today? This small group will meet every other Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM beginning September 12 and is limited to the first 12 women who sign up in the Connections Corner or call the church office. Led by Lynn Vanoostveen and Jan Wassink.
Nehemiah: After the exiled people of God are freed to return to Jerusalem, Nehemiah gets involved in some important rebuilding, and he shows significant leadership in rallying the people to rededicate their work and their lives to God. In this Bible study we learn more of how God keeps his promises to guide and deliver his people always. This group will meet Monday mornings October 16-December 4 at 9:30 AM in the Resource Room. Led by Ellen DeVries, Jan Bolt and Bernice Noorman.

Men’s Bible Study
Men of all ages are invited to grow in their faith and build community with others through various Bible study opportunities.
Tuesday Morning Men’s Bible Study: Start your Tuesday mornings with insight and knowledge from Andy Stanley and discussion with fellow Ivanrest men. This study meets every Tuesday morning beginning September 12 from 6:15-7:15 AM in the West Wing Lodge. Coordinated by Bob Pettijohn.
Romans: Read, study, discuss and learn using the book of Romans. All men are welcome; no prep work or homework is required. This group meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month beginning September 25 at 7:00 PM in Room 8. Led by Steve Van’t Hof and Chuck Feyen.
Dine with Nine
Dine with Nine is taking a break as Table Groups launch.
Eating is more than an individual, biological act. Human beings are made to eat together, sharing their table with family and friends. (Jose A Pergola, The Way Opened Up by Jesus)
Dine with Nine is an invitation to an informal gathering with nine people to come together as a church family to share a meal, meet new people, and for fellowship.
For more information or to sign up for the next Dine with Nine session, please visit the Dine with Nine page.
