Farewell Open House – Andy

Farewell Open House for Andy Sherwood After 4 years of ministry at Ivanrest Church as the Director of Community Connections and Outreach, Andy will be moving to South Carolina the end of July. You are invited to join us in thanking Andy for his years of ministry and wishing him and his wife Erin well as they transition to a new home and new jobs in South Carolina.

High School SC Mission Trip

A group of Ivanrest students and adults will be heading to South Carolina to spend a week serving and ministering to the community of Conway, an area still recording from Hurricane Florence (2018).

Game Night

Game Night: Join us for a night of games in the West Wing. Friday, August 16 from 7-10 PM. Play a classic such as Monopoly, try out Phase 10 or 7 Wonders, work together at Sentinels of the Multiverse, or bring your own! This would be a great place to invite friends or coworkers to experience Christian community and fellowship in a casual environment. No childcare provided.

Senior Outing: Gilmore Car Museum

Take a trip to the “best kept secret in Michigan”…the Gilmore Car Museum. We will leave church at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21 to visit the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, one of the largest collections of classic and vintage cars in Michigan. Lowell Otter will accompany us and show us his car, the first 1967 Shelby GT500 made. We will also enjoy lunch at the diner in Gilmore. Walking is necessary but the museum is barrier free.…

Church Picnic

Join us for Ivanrest’s Annual Church Picnic. This year our picnic will be on September 8 at Palmer Park in Wyoming from 4:00-7:00pm. Dinner served at 5pm. The picnic will be a time of fellowship and fun with great food and plenty of games and activities. The church will provide chicken and rolls from Chicken-Out Catering and we need families A-M to bring a dessert and families N-Z to bring a side dish. Please RSVP by September 4. Music in Motion

Music in Motion is designed to help young children (ages 2-6) appreciate music, while enhancing their language development, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It teaches students to watch a conductor, and it keeps them busy, active and out of trouble for 45 minutes. Following the music portion, we will have drinks, snacks and coloring sheets for your kids for additional 30 minutes & just hang out.
