Welcome to Ivanrest Church!

Ivanrest Church provides many opportunities for children and adults, men and women, individuals and families to both serve and grow throughout the week. We recognize, however, that Sunday morning worship is often the “front door” where we can best get connected. Hopefully we can answer many of the questions you have here in order to help you feel comfortable entering that “front door”. If you have a question we didn’t anticipate, please contact us here.

What does Ivanrest Church believe?

It isn’t possibly to fully answer this question here!  We are a part of the Christian Reformed Church, a mainline Christian denomination.  We invite you to click here if you would like to learn more about the Christian Reformed Church in general.  See our About page to learn more about Ivanrest Church specifically.  Please feel free to email or call us for a more in depth conversation!

Finding your way around

We suggest that you plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of a Worship service. If you have younger infant or children to check into nursery or classes, you may wish is add a few extra minutes.  Come earlier and stop by the Welcome Center in the lobby to get more information about Ivanrest Church.

If I have questions, who can I talk to?

Please feel free to ask us any questions! When you enter the building, most often there will be an elder or a deacon at each door to greet you and help you in any way. Elders will also be greeting everyone at the end of the service. There will be a staff member at the Welcome Center in the middle of the lobby before and after each service. If you wish to call or email us, click here to see the staff contact information.

Where is Ivanrest Church located?

Which door do I go in?

Our building has many entrances with parking surrounding most of the building. Take a look at this site map to see which entrance best suits your needs. Most often there will be a friendly face at each door to welcome you. Feel free to ask them for assistance. They are there for you!

What time are the services?

We have TWO identical morning worship services at 8:30 and 11:00 from the week after Labor Day through the week before Memorial Day. We have ONE morning worship service at 10:00 AM for the summer – Memorial Day through Labor Day. We have ONE evening worship service at 5:00 PM year round which meets in the Main Gathering Room.

There are, however, a few exceptions to this schedule throughout the year. Click here for our current calendar.

What should I expect at a Sunday morning worship service?

Our worship services last between 60 and 70 minutes and include a time of worship led by a band, prayer and a message from the Bible. We would love to have you participate with us, but if you need some time to simply be present and get to know us you are welcome to do so. After the service we will serve coffee and cookies as we get to know each other better. If you didn’t before the service, stop by the Welcome Center in the lobby and get more information about Ivanrest Church.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever makes you comfortable. Typically you will see everything from jeans and slacks to sport coats and ties.

When do I need to arrive?

We suggest you arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of a worship service. If you have pre-school children to check into the nursery or an ikids class, you may wish to add a few extra minutes. Come earlier and stop by the Welcome Center in the lobby to get more information about Ivanrest Church.

Where do my kids go during the service?

Our ikids ministry provides an exciting experience for infants, toddlers and preschoolers to learn about Jesus while you worship. We have taken great care to ensure the safety of your child and are able to notify you during the worship service if your child needs you.
