Ruth 1

Today we’re beginning a short, four-part sermon series on the book of Ruth. The book of Ruth is less like a movie with a steady, progressive plot one can easily follow and more like a binge-worthy TV show with twists; turns; and sudden, unexpected cliffhangers. As we make our way through this book, we’ll look at each of the major characters in turn: Naomi, Boaz, and Ruth, as well as Obed, the eventual child who points us towards the future with hope (sound familiar?). Up for this week: Naomi.
