All We Have Belongs to God
Luke 12:35-48
Last week we began our most recent spiritual practice series on the topic of generosity. Specifically, we talked about the joy that comes with the discipline of giving. Today we’ll continue that series by looking at a key component of generosity: The Christian concept and value of stewardship.
A few books I found helpful in preparing this series were Giving is the Good Life by Randy Alcorn, God and Money by John Cortines and Gregory Baumer, Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger by Ronald Sider, and Poverty, By America by Matthew Desmond. While I don’t agree with everything these authors say (I hardly ever do!), I found their books thought-provoking and helpful for thinking about how we, as Christians, can be generous.
