The Gospel is good news. But it isn’t news that leaves us the same. This story of Jesus (at least as Luke tells it) starts with the good news of the Gospel proclaimed to a young girl named Mary. But that news changed her. It changed her irreversibly and completely. And it should change us too.
This book has nothing to do with this series or the Gospel of Luke, but if you’re looking for a good book on faith and culture, I borrowed the title for this series from Mark Sayer’s book, The Road Trip that Changed the World. It’s one of the best books I’ve read on why and how our culture has become the way it has in the post-Christian, secular West.
