The First Day
John 20:1-18
What’s done is done. Jesus is dead. The miracles have dried up. The revolution is over. It’s all beaten, bruised, and buried in a tomb, no comfort, no hope, no other way forward. But wait…the tomb is empty? What does this mean? What does it tell us? What’s the significance? The significance, at its most basic, means that this, Easter Sunday, is the first day of something new, something different, an entirely new creation, and nothing will ever be the same
