The Meaning of Life
Among the “major” Christian holidays we celebrate each year (like Christmas and Easter) are a number of more “obscure” or “minor” Christian holidays that don’t get as much time or attention. For instance, this past Thursday was one of them, a little-known Christian feast day called Ascension Day. And yet, for all its lack of attention, Ascension Day is actually quite meaningful and significant. And so, this year (and in future years too), we’re using the Sunday after Ascension Day to talk about, celebrate, and explore its significance together, specifically, how our ascended Savior, Jesus Christ, makes sense of and gives meaning to our lives.
