Genesis 4:17-26

In this second reflection on Advent Genealogies, we see the threads of blessing and curse weaving their way through the fabric of generations. While the abrasiveness of sin and its consequences wear holes in the goodness of God’s creation (us included), God remains faithful and steadfast in his goodness and grace. To each generation, God offers blessing and hope as He brings about the fulfillment of all his promises and purposes for the world.
