Psalm 122

This is the “song of arrival” in the sequence of the Psalms of Ascent. The Jewish pilgrims to Jerusalem are standing in the city gates. They’ve arrived to worship their God, and that worship did three things for them: It reminded them of all that God had done for them, it unified them, and it brought peace. Truth be told, worship still does the same things for us today.
