What started as one student’s vision to use his own abilities to care for those impacted by hurricanes became an effort by the Ivanrest community to raise funds for the recovery work being done by World Renew’s Disaster Response Services. The Hurri-Cans project, started by one of our middle school students, was a drive for pop cans and bottles that would then be deposited and cashed in so the funds could be donated to the Disaster Response Services. In all the Ivanrest community collected and raised funds equivalent to over 4000 cans! It is amazing to see how God can use one young person’s vision to rally the community and make a difference for the lives of those influenced by hurricane damage. We are thankful for such awesome students and a generous community!
